Above is a still from this movie created by Hillman Curtis

It is a mini documentary about Jim Dine creating a sculptural installation for the Getty Villa in Malibu.

I have been thinking about how difficult and brilliant it is to execute a truly good creative vision. I am talking about epic visions. Also coming to mind, uh duh, Jeff Koons' Puppy. Seeing into (via documentary films/shows) their working process and creative direction is very inspiring.

So one question might be:

Is the entrepreneurial spirit more alive during economic hardship?

Gut reaction would probably be WTF, NO! But I am talking more about the side hustle, NOT finally opening that organic bakery you always wanted. Turning your hobbies into cash. A little extra on the side, maybe some moonlighting. You wanna buy those new kicks? you better sell them old kicks, that broke down sweater, and that too-tight-in-the-midsection jacket first.

This weekend starts my hardcore work on Butter Made Records. We will be building a new hip hop label and website to match: http://www.butter-made.com

Its time to hustle.

Also, Peep the new ovidovi.com
